Group Rides
Though riding solo is enjoyable, cycling with a group has additional benefits. Ride routes are provided, in areas you might not normally visit. The group provides an opportunity to chat with fellow club members, both during the ride and at the rest stop designed into most routes. Riding in a group provides security in case of a mechanical or other mishap.
Group rides at various levels of distance, terrain, and pace are listed on the LVCC Ride Calendar on Meetup. If you are new to group riding, or new to riding in general, look for the Monday Night Beginners' Ride that leaves from the Velodrome during the riding season.
Special Events for LVCC Members
There are some special events, such as the Donut Derby, that are open to the public. Others, like the Eastern Shore Weekend, are available only to LVCC members. See a complete listing of special events via the button below.
Ride with GPS club account
One of the benefits to LVCC membership is the LVCC RideWithGPS club account. This is where the LVCC stores and manages our cycling routes library.
Authorized club members are given access to Premium features in RWGPS for all routes in our club library. (It does NOT give all LVCC members the RWGPS Premium Level features for routes that are not in our club library).
To apply for club account authorization, log in to the website as a member, navigate to the Member Portal, and choose the RWGPS club account section.
Insurance Protection
Insurance for expenses not covered by your insurance in the case of an injury incurred on a LVCC ride.
Picnics, Parties, and more!
The LVCC has an annual picnic, usually some time in August. Periodically, the calendar will include a club ride for which the ride leader hosts a picnic afterward. The annual Holiday Party in December is a great opportunity to commingle with fellow club members and reflect on the preceding riding season.

The Individual plan is for one member 18 years or older.
COST - $20 per individual
The Family plan consists of one or more individuals who are 18 or older all of whom reside at the same physical address, along with individuals under the age of 18 who reside with and are related to at least one family member who is aged 18 or older.
COST - $35 per family
