The club provides a variety of programs year-round, ranging from beginner rides to essential bike maintenance and safety training.

The Beginner's Road Ride
This ride, which typically starts at the Velodrome on a Monday evening during the riding season, caters to individuals who are new to group riding, or who prefer a more relaxed pace. A typical ride will comprise approximately 15 miles at an average of about 13 mph. The main emphasis is on safety, cycling etiquette, effective communication, and mastering essential bike handling skills.

The advent of tubeless tires and rims has made it more difficult to mount tires. The link below goes to a nice video that illustrates some techniques to make this job easier, so you can mount and unmount tires without a tire lever. Demonstrated with a TPU tube, but the same methods apply to butyl and latex tubes.

Removing the tire, shown in this short video. No audio commentary, but just the opposite of what is shown in the video above. Notice how he gradually works the tire bead down into the depression in the center of the rim, which makes it easier to pull the tire off, starting with the part up near the valve.
